MARIAZ

Drawing inspiration from her Colombian heritage, Mariaz delves into themes of togetherness, collage and the textile arts, weaving each piece with the threads of tradition, symbolism, and creative expression, celebrating timelessness and individuality through modular design.

The Mariaz collection of work is an ode to the allure of the classic chain and charm jewellery, seamlessly intertwined in playful collages of signature connector charms and sculptural forms that mirror the architecture of cloth and the creative arts and crafts that surround it.

Jewellery charms are imprinted with the embracing folds of cloth and the unbreakable pledge of knots to evoke the art of unity

THE MARIAZ CHAIN

At its core, the Mariaz chain embodies simplicity and versatility through modular keepsakes for self-expression. At the click of the Mariaz connector charms, a world of endless possibilities unfolds to build unique compositions. Each chain is convertible, and every connector is interchangeable, allowing for a myriad of evolving configurations that can be progressively simplified, amplified, and segmentally optimised.

The Mariaz creative weaving is imagined to be timeless and designed to unfold different narratives

MARIA ZAMBRANO

“I grew up seeing all the women in my life exploring the culture of creative crafts and expressing their personalities through the arts of sewing, knitting and weaving, all while cultivating a strong sense of unity and empowerment. I am interested in honouring and preserving these traditions by expressing my own interpretations through jewellery, utilising the chain as the medium to encapsulate them. To me, cloth is a metaphor for interconnectedness; it links threads, yarns and knots, much like how a chain interconnects links. I materialise this creative thinking through jewellery compositions across artistic, cultural and circular design contexts, weaving modern craftsmanship within.”
