MARIAZ is a world of artistic and design expressions in the form of sculptural jewellery shaped by culture, heritage, and modular design. Founded by Maria Zambrano, MARIAZ is rooted in the belief that jewellery is both personal and a playful transformative act, a medium for self-expression, storytelling, and connection. Each piece is imagined to be timeless and designed to unfold different narratives that evolve with you over time.
MODULAR BY DESIGN
MARIAZ is built upon a modular framework of jewellery elements designed to play, collect, and connect. At the core of the MARIAZ modular design language are versatility, expression, and meaning, forming a playground of components that allow the wearer to edit and reimagine a variety of compositions with pieces that can be collected over time, connected in new ways, and carried as personal symbols of memory and identity.
The concept is rooted in the founder’s life lived across cultures, where environments, objects, and rituals become markers of memory, adaptation, and belonging, carried across distances and transformed with purpose over time. Through modularity, MARIAZ reflects transition and reinvention, as jewellery components shift, connect, and evolve, echoing the fluid nature of identity itself.
ABOUT THE HABERDASHERY
The Haberdashery is a collection of familiar tools from the sewing room, transformed into sculptural jewellery. An ode to Maria's mother love for textile craft, to her great-grandmother’s button tin, and to the culture of sewing, knitting and weaving, it reimagines the architecture of cloth, knots, buttons, threads and sewing needles into modular, sculptural jewellery through a myriad of playful compositions.
